Today I had an appointment with my doctor for a regular check up. Apparently I've been contracting more that I thought (I have felt the contractions every once in a while). My cervix has thinned quite a bit since the last visit a month ago. The doctor hasn't put me on bed rest quite yet; she has told me to stay off my feet unless needed (grocery shopping, showers, etc). So that means I can't go back to work until further notice.

ULTRA SOUND #3
During the ultra sound, Elijah was pretty still. He sucked his thumb a lot and kept his hands and sometimes feet close to his face to hide. His very limber obviously if he can reach those toes to the forehead like he did. (Click to view full size; will open in new window.)

Since this ultra sound shows that the baby is a boy, he will now be referred to by his name that I have chosen, Elijah.
Mr. Elijah decided not to show much of his face at this ultra sound but to show his "man hood". His was proud since that's pretty much all we got to see this time. (Click to view full size; will open in new window.)

FOOD CRAVINGS
Lately the foods I’ve been craving have included potato salad, gummy bears and chilli cheese fritos (chip aisle).

CHECK UP & BLOOD WORK
9:10 am was my appointment with Dr. Miller for my check up and blood work. Weight: 162.3 (Lost 2 pounds since last visit.)
Baby’s heartbeat was fine & uterus growing like expected. Doctor said we’ll view the baby and cyst on ultra sound next visit (May 9th). Cyst shouldn’t be a problem and we’ll discuss it more then.

FIRST DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENT & ULTRA SOUND
Today was my first doctor’s visit. I will be seeing Dr. Miller and Dr. Sims for my pregnancy. At today’s appointment, we found that:
I’m 9 weeks, 2 days along.
My due date should be around October 15, 2005.
The baby is about 1 inch from head to bottom.
